Alice's Thursday Music
- Killer, by Alice Cooper: Really just listen to "Under My Wheels", "Desperado", and "Killer".
- School's Out
- Billion Dollar Babies
- Muscle of Love: End of the original band
- Welcome to My Nightmare: First of his solo act
- Goes to Hell, by Alice Cooper
Vincent Damon Furnier's journey from glam-pop Bowie-wannabe into the "Alice Cooper" character and Sabbath-style heavy metal is these transitional albums.
The Future is Monday Music
- Automatic, by VNV Nation
- 21st Century Boys, by Sigue Sigue Sputnik
- The Looks or the Lifestyle, by Pop Will Eat Itself
- Stranger than Fiction, by Bad Religion
- Tenebrae Vision, by Cyberaktif
And here's some happy reading material about the future we could've had, if Humans hadn't been such deranged warmongers, and instead spent our money & effort usefully:
Time and Space Wednesday Music
- Out of the Blue, by Electric Light Orchestra
- Time, by Electric Light Orchestra
- Alone in the Universe, by Jeff Lynne's ELO
- The Grand Illusion, by Styx
- Boston
- Back to the Egg, by Wings
Feeling like some prog, spacey rock, á la Venture Bros.
Apple Music was no help today:
I'm really not "into" Michael Jackson, especially not twice. I assume it took him appearing on GotG Awesome Mix as support. So I just went thru and hit Dislike on every one of the little creep's albums, hopefully this never happens again. I keep suggesting to Apple Music to let us block an artist we don't like so they never reappear, and they've done no such thing. Somewhat ironic: His last few albums were Invincible and Immortal; not so much.
Stuck in the Middle with Saturday Music
- City to City, by Gerry Rafferty
- Stealer's Wheel: Only two compilations on Apple Music, so Youtube it is.
- Ferguslie Park, by Stealer's Wheel
- Out of Nowhere, by Joe Egan
- Night Owl, by Gerry Rafferty
- Bread
- On the Waters, by Bread
Keep on Rockin' in Wednesday Music
- '90s Rock Essentials playlist: Skip all the Nirvana; as I've often said, the average quality of music in the world doubled the day Kurt solved his headache problem. While I like Santana, Smooth (featuring Rob Thomas) really doesn't fit in this list, nor does some of the electronica. Otherwise very nice.
- Nude & Rude: The Best of Iggy Pop: Iggy's best work was first done in the '70s, but his '90s comeback is when he finally burned away all soft kindness in himself and just rocked the fuck out.
- This is the Day… This is the Hour… This is This…, by Pop Will Eat Itself: The album that got me ready for a brave new world.
- Pretty Hate Machine, by Nine Inch Nails: How I felt about that world.
- Smells Like Children, by Marilyn Manson: Nihilistic response after a couple years living in that shit.
Bat Out of Wednesday Music
Warheads on Foreheads Tuesday Music
- Warheads on Foreheads, by Megadeth: Greatest hits, we all have every Megadeth album, right? But nice as a playlist.
Brother will kill brother
